Corrosion Prevention Working Group

The corrosion prevention working group is a proactive collaboration group which aims to share knowledge and produce guidance to reduce the environmental and financial impact of various corrosion mechanisms. By gathering the UKs onshore corrosion experience we aim to raise awareness and safeguard our assets against the second most common failure mode. Studies have shown that the cost of corrosion tops 3.4% of GDP globally; by enhancing our knowledge of corrosion mitigation and control, we share a common goal to reduce this cost and improve our understanding of our assets.
