UKOPA is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Humphrey to its Board, further strengthening the Association’s industry expertise as it enters its fourth decade of supporting the UK pipeline sector.
Stephen brings almost 30 years of pipeline industry experience, having worked across a wide range of operational, engineering and leadership roles in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Throughout his career he has developed extensive expertise in pipeline operations, asset integrity, maintenance and the safe management of critical energy infrastructure.
Stephen currently serves as Pipeline Manager, North-West Europe at Exolum, where he is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the company’s pipeline network across the region. Exolum operates one of the UK’s largest fuel pipeline systems, playing a vital role in the transportation and storage of fuels that support airports, businesses and communities across the country.
His appointment comes at an important time for UKOPA as the Association celebrates its 30th anniversary and looks ahead to the opportunities and challenges facing the pipeline industry over the coming decade. As the sector continues to evolve in response to changing energy demands, infrastructure requirements and regulatory expectations, UKOPA remains committed to ensuring operators have a strong collective voice and a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Stephen’s extensive operational experience and practical understanding of pipeline management will provide valuable insight to the Board and support UKOPA’s ongoing work on safety, integrity, resilience and industry engagement.
Commenting on the appointment, UKOPA Chair Clive Zanker said:
